The Customer
The customer, was a leading provider of technology products and services for businesses, government agencies and educational institutions nationwide. Our customer was a key value-added supplier of information technology products including major name brands such as APC, Cisco, HP/Compaq, IBM, Microsoft, Sony, Symantec, Toshiba, ViewSonic, as well as many other hardware and software manufacturers.
Customer business need
Our customer had incompleted CRM portal, which was outsourced before for development to a dedicated team of 8 software engineers in India. After spending 1.5 year working with this offshore team the customer decided to switch to SolovatSoft as a US company with US project management and Russian engineering resourced.
In the initial contact the customer expressed concerns if Solovatsoft had established engineering processes in place, what was the attrition rate in Russia in comparing with India, if SolovatSoft had working knowledge of Weblogic 8.1 application server and J2EE (JSP, Struts, EJB), Web Services and ETL programming.

The Benefits
The Portal has the functionality of running dynamic reports and viewing static reports. The new Portal has the functionality of exporting the Reports into PDF Format. Over 500,000 hardware and software products are available online through the new CRM web portal.
